The Estimate Density task allows you to record weight measurements for a specific bin and batch, helping you track population growth, biomass development, and density distribution across your facility.
How to Complete the Estimate Density Task #
To log a density or weight estimation, follow these steps:
- Select the Target Bin & Batch:
- Scan the bin barcode or type the Bin ID and press Enter. If the bin has an active batch assigned, the system will automatically select the corresponding batch.
- Alternatively, click the batch selection field to search and pick the batch manually from the list.
- Record the Weight:
- Enter the measured weight directly into the weight field based on your facility’s configured weight format (e.g., grams).
- Sensor Integration: If you have an active weight scale sensor connected, you can click the Get Weight button (blue scale icon) to fetch the live reading automatically, or click the Tare button (grey rotate icon) to zero out the scale.
- Add Optional Notes:
- Type any relevant observations or comments in the Notes field.
- Save the Measurement:
- Click Save Measurement to submit the data and log the update in the system.
Tip: Making sure your scale is correctly tared before fetching readings ensures high accuracy in your density and biomass estimations.
