Automations Management #
The Automations Management module allows you to configure rule-based triggers and actions to automatically control facility equipment (such as switches or lights) or dispatch notifications based on sensor readings, schedules, or webhooks.
Overview of Automation Features #
The automations table provides an overview of all active rules:
- Automation Name: Displays the descriptive name of the rule (e.g., Turn on heat if temp < 22°C).
- Facility: Shows whether the rule is tied to a specific facility room or marked as Global (No Facility).
- Trigger: Details the trigger condition type and formula (e.g., sensor, schedule, or webhook).
- Status: Color-coded status badge showing whether the automation rule is Enabled (green) or Disabled (red).
- Actions: Quick-access controls to edit or delete automation rules.
Filtering and Sorting Automations #
- Search: Use the search bar to instantly filter rules by name, facility, or trigger type.
- Sorting: Use the sort options (Newest, Oldest, or Name) to arrange your list.
Adding or Editing an Automation Rule #
To create a new automation rule or modify an existing one:
- Open the Modal:
- Click the floating
+(FAB) button in the bottom right corner to add a new automation. - Alternatively, click the pencil (edit icon) on any row to update it.

- Configure Form Fields:
- Name: Enter a descriptive rule name (required).
- Facility: Select a specific facility room or leave as Global (No Facility).
- Trigger Type: Choose between sensor, schedule, or webhook.
- Trigger Condition: Enter the evaluation condition (e.g.,
temp < 22or a cron expression likecron(0 8 * * *)). - Action Type: Choose what type of action to execute: switch, lighting, or notification.
- Action Payload: Provide the JSON payload for the target action (e.g.,
{"switch_id": 4, "state": "ON"}). - Enabled Status: Toggle the switch to enable or disable the rule.
- Save:
- Click Save to store the automation rule.
Deleting an Automation #
- Click the trash can icon on any row to open the deletion confirmation dialog, then confirm to remove the rule permanently.
Note: The Automations module requires a Commercial license tier or higher to access across your facility.
