The Quarantine Management task allows you to manage bins currently under quarantine, record ongoing observations, release them back to production, or cull them if recovery is not possible.
How to Manage Quarantined Bins #
To update or resolve a quarantine status in BioStack, follow these steps:
- 1. Target Bin & Batch:
- Scan the bin barcode or type the Bin ID and press Enter.
- Alternatively, select the quarantined batch directly from the dropdown list.
- 2. Select Management Action:
- Choose the action you wish to perform by selecting one of the options:
- Log Observation: Record notes or updates without changing the current quarantine status.
- Release to Production: Clear the quarantine flag and return the bin/batch back to active production.
- Cull & Empty Bin: Terminate the batch and empty the bin due to severe unrecoverable issues.
- Choose the action you wish to perform by selecting one of the options:
- 3. Record Observation Notes:
- Type observation notes, recovery status, or reasons for your chosen action in the text box.
- 4. Save Changes:
- Click Save to update the system records with your management action.
